CHAD ANHELIGER: THE MONSTER DESPERATE FOR WIN ON HOME SOIL

Alberta’s own Chad ‘The Monster’ Anheliger (13-7) got a much-needed win last time out in the Octagon and he thought it arguably saved his career in the organisation. After successive losses, he grabbed a unanimous decision win over Charalampos Grigoriou and he will now look to follow that up with another win in his native Alberta where he is sure to have plenty of support.

CODY GIBSON: VET LOOKING FOR SUCCESSIVE WINS IN UFC FOR FIRST TIME

Cody Gibson (20-10) has a similar recent history to Anheliger as he had lost back-to-back bouts too before grabbing a much-needed win in his last fight. Back in July, he claimed a submission win over Brian Kelleher and now he is looking to do something he has never managed to do in two spells with the UFC – and that is to win back-to-back fights.

CHAD ANHELIGER VS CODY GIBSON PREDICTION

Two veterans meet in the bantamweight division and this one should be an entertaining fight. Both will likely think their positions in the organisation are somewhat fragile and that should mean both will leave everything in the Octagon desperate to get the win.

Our preference here is with Cody Gibson. He is tough and well-rounded and has that edge in experience at fighting at the higher level.

Anheliger will be desperate to win in front of his home fans but that will be easier said than done. Gibson is our preference to win either by decision or submission.

PREDICTION: CODY GIBSON TO WIN VIA DECISION OR SUBMISSION
