Central African Republic vs Madagascar Prediction

The Central African Republic, under the management of former Cameroon international Rigobert Song, will want to build on an impressive African Nations Championship qualification round in December as they now take on an overachieving Madagascar side.

The Central African Republic defeated the aforementioned Cameroon on away goals in the second round of ANC qualification a couple of months ago but they have collected just four points from four games in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification, also having struggled in qualification for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations last autumn.

They now face a Madagascar side that begin the fifth match day of the qualifying campaign sitting third in the table but just two points behind both Comoros and Ghana. They defeated Eswatini by two goals to one in their ANC qualifying tie, albeit that did involve a 1-0 defeat at home to a poor Eswatini side in December.

The Central African Republic will believe they can now improve following the appointment of Song and, with their home advantage, siding with them looks the way to go for this one.
