Celta Vigo Preview: Galician entertainment

Under the management of former B team coach Claudio Giraldez, Celta Vigo has his entertaining Galician side sitting tucked inside the top eight and the potential European spots ahead of the 29th match day of the 2024/25 La Liga campaign.

The home team have been entertaining to watch with their 28 matches consisting of 82 goals. They come into this one on the back of a 1-0 defeat of Real Valladolid a couple of weeks ago to mean they are now unbeaten in their last six matches in La Liga.

Las Palmas Preview: Canarian strugglers

In October, Las Palmas were still winless but appointed former Granada manager Diego Martinez and they managed to massively improve but since the turn of the year, the Canary Islanders have once again collapsed into the bottom three and the relegation places.

The visitors most recently did score twice in second-half stoppage-time to earn themselves a 2-2 draw at home to fellow strugglers Deportivo Alaves at Estadio Gran Canaria a couple of weeks ago. They are now winless in their last ten matches in La Liga, all in 2025.

Celta Vigo vs Las Palmas Prediction

Claudio Giraldez took over from Rafa Benitez around about this time last year with the intention to not only propel them away from relegation trouble but also to improve the style of football that Celta play. A year later, they are challenging for Europe with one of the more entertaining ways of playing in Spain. They face a Las Palmas side that will hope to have been able to simply regroup over the international break but Celta, especially at Balaidos, are the firm favourites for this one.

Celta Vigo vs Las Palmas Tip: Double chance – Celta to win or draw
