Catalans Dragons vs Salford Red Devils prediction

Catalans Dragons are still stinging after losing narrowly in Super League last time out against St. Helens. A Challenge Cup quarter-final clash represents the ideal opportunity to bounce back, especially against a Salford Red Devils side, who were ‘nilled’ in a 54-0 thrashing by Wigan Warriors at the weekend.

Salford have been on the back of some heavy defeats over the course of the season and it’s unlikely that their defence will be able to withstand the offence that the Dragons are capable of creating, especially at home. Steve McNamara’s side are experienced and have a point to prove, which we should see over the course of this match.

Having Watkins back is a boost for the visitors, he is the leader of this Salford squad. But in the end, he is not expected to be able to prevent the Dragons from coming through and booking a place in the last four.
