Catalans Dragons Team News: Experienced trio return to boost the hosts

After losing all three of their matches so far against Hull FC, Warrington Wolves and Leigh Leopards, the pressure is firmly on the Dragons and boss Steve McNamara. They are boosted for this match as they welcome back experienced trio Sam Tompkins, Theo Fages and Chris Satae, and McNamara will be hoping all three can hit the ground running. Bayley Sironen, Cesar Rouge and Jordan Dezaria are the men to make way as McNamara will be expecting a major improvement from his men.

Squad: Sam Tomkins, Tommy Makinson, Arthur Romano, Reimis Smith, Nick Cotric, Luke Keary, Arthur Mourgue, Benjamin Garcia, Julian Bousquet, Tariq Sims, Elliott Whitehead, Oliver Partington, Alrix Da Costa, Chris Satae, Romain Navarrete, Paul Seguier, Theo Fages, Fouad Yaha, Matthieu Laguerre, Franck Maria

Leeds Rhinos Team News: Key creative trio set to come back into the fold

After an opening day loss, the Rhinos have responded well with back-to-back victories and they will be hoping to make it three in a row here. The win over Castleford last week was all the more impressive given the fact they were without Matt Frawley and Brodie Croft but both return here and should be fit to play. They also welcome back Lachie Miller for the first time this season although they may decide to hold him out.

Squad: Lachlan Miller, Harry Newman, Ash Handley, Ryan Hall, Brodie Croft, Matt Frawley, Mikolaj Oledzki, Andy Ackers, Keenan Palasia, James Bentley, James McDonnell, Jarrod O’Connor, Sam Lisone, Morgan Gannon, Cooper Jenkins, Jake Connor, Jack Sinfield, Alfie Edgell, Tom Nicholson-Watton, Riley Lumb, Ethan Clark-Wood

Catalans Dragons vs Leeds Rhinos Prediction

It has been an incredibly difficult and somewhat demoralising start for the Catalan Dragons, and this is a huge match for them even at this stage of the season. Steve McNamara will be hoping for a reaction from his men but it will take a major improvement if they are to win here.

The Rhinos are growing with every match and there are plenty of positives for Brad Arthur’s men. They have arguably the more positive team news for this match too as they welcome back some key players.

The Dragons are the favourites for this match but it is hard to favour them right now. We need to see quite some improvement to have any faith in them. The Rhinos however, are a team on the up and we like them to get the victory here.
