Castleford Tigers vs St. Helens Prediction
Despite their loss to Hull KR last week, Castleford Tigers came out of that match with plenty of credit and positives to take and Danny McGuire will be asking his men to follow that up here.
They face a tough opening home match against St Helens although it is difficult to read too much into the Saints’ demolition of Salford given the weakened team that Salford fielded. In many respects, it may not help St Helens prepare for the normal intensity levels so that may take some adjusting to here.
Cas could well suffer something of an emotional comedown after such an effort last week but playing in front of their home fans will boost them.
St Helens will be looking to follow up their win last week and they have to be favoured to get the win here too. A 14-point margin on the handicap feels a bit too much to us at this stage of the season away from home and we have to favour Castleford on the spread.
Castleford Tigers vs St. Helens Tip: Castleford Tigers to win +14 points
