Castleford Tigers Team News: New man Singleton comes straight into squad
Castleford had a free week last week after being eliminated in the previous round of the Challenge Cup so they should be fresh coming into this match. Boss Danny McGuire has brought new signing Brad Singleton straight into the squad and he will be looking for his new man to make an impact on debut.
Squad: Tex Hoy, Zac Cini, Sam Wood, Innes Senior, Daejarn Asi, Rowan Milnes, Liam Horne, George Lawler, Jeremiah Simbiken, Alex Mellor, Joe Westerman, Judah Rimbu, George Griffin, Cain Robb, Muizz Mustapha, Sylvester Namo, Josh Simm, George Hill, Jesnon Windley, Dan Okoro, Brad Singleton
Catalans Dragons Team News: Mourgue departs and key duo remain out injured
The club sold Arthur Mourgue to Hull KR in a somewhat surprising move so Sam Tomkins will continue in the fullback role and they will be desperate that the veteran can stay fit. They are also without both Tariq Sims and Tommy Makinson who have both had knocks to Paul Seguir and Fouad Yaha continue to deputise for them.
Squad: Sam Tomkins, Arthur Romano, Reimis Smith, Nick Cotric, Luke Keary, Tevita Pangai Jr, Benjamin Garcia, Julian Bousquet, Elliott Whitehead, Oliver Partington, Alrix Da Costa, Chris Satae, Romain Navarrete, Cesar Rouge, Paul Seguier, Jordan Dezaria, Fouad Yaha, Matthieu Laguerre, Franck Maria, Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet, Clement Martin
Castleford Tigers vs Catalans Dragons Prediction
Both of these sides are in desperate need of a win but it is the Dragons who come in with all the momentum. After losing their first three matches in the Super League, they managed to beat Leeds Rhinos to get off the mark and then they eased past Featherstone in the Challenge Cup last weekend. That will give them some much-needed confidence and while there are signs of a transition period at the club, they can take heart from the last couple of weeks.
They make the trip to West Yorkshire to meet Castleford who are struggling after a hot start to the season. Danny McGuire is tweaking his squad a little as he tries to shape his group but while they continue to play hard, they still look short on attacking quality.
This match is set up for the Dragons to get a third win in a row and they are suitably motivated, we expect them to just have that edge in flair and quality to outscore the hosts.
