Carlos Alcaraz vs Pedro Martinez Prediction

Carlos Alcaraz coasted into the quarter-finals as he overcame Andrea Vavassori 6-2 6-1 on Thursday. After a tight game with Botic van de Zandschulp in the first round, Alcaraz had no such issues in his next game and that will give him confidence ahead of his clash with compatriot Pedro Martinez.

Martinez has enjoyed an excellent week so far as he beat compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut 6-3 6-2 in the first round and then dumped fifth-seed Holger Rune out 6-4 6-1 in the round of 16. He has been super impressive so far and he will relish this opportunity to upset Alcaraz.

Alcaraz is the huge favourite to win this match and he should do, but the odds are a little dismissive of how well Martinez has been playing this week. We think he makes this competitive and will cause Alcaraz more issues than the odds suggest but Alcaraz should still progress.
