Carlos Alcaraz vs Marin Cilic Prediction

Carlos Alcaraz showed signs of getting somewhere back to his best in Rotterdam a week ago as he won another title beating Alex de Minaur in the final. The 21-year-old will view these upcoming tournaments as a great opportunity to rack up more titles in the absence of suspended Jannik Sinner for the next three months.

Alcaraz is the top seed in Doha this week and he opens with a clash with Croatian veteran Marin Cilic.

This is the first ATP Tour tennis Cilic will play in 2025 so he will be forgiven for being a little rusty. This is arguably the match he would have least liked to have been drawn but the 36-year-old comes into it with nothing to lose.

Alcaraz has won the last three meetings between Cilic and he will be confident of making it four. We expect the Spaniard to just have too much for Cilic and a straight-sets win is on the cards.
