Carlos Alcaraz vs Casper Ruud Prediction

Carlos Alcaraz will be hoping to challenge for the title in Turin this week and he will at least hope to improve on his previous best performance which was the semi-finals last year.

He has picked up four titles this year including the French Open and Wimbledon but it is Jannik Sinner who has ended the season in stronger form than the talented Spaniard.

Alcaraz did beat Sinner in Beijing several weeks ago however and that will give him confidence that he can beat anybody on his day. He starts in Turin facing Casper Ruud and he can take comfort from the fact that he has beaten the Norwegian in all four previous meetings.

Ruud put in a decent showing at the US Open as he reached the round of 16 but he has been in poor form since then as he has struggled with illness and his confidence is understandably dented. It will be a tough ask for him to do anything this week based on recent form and we fully expect Alcaraz to get the win in straight sets here.
