Camila Osorio vs Naomi Osaka Prediction

Although Camilia Osorio hasn’t played a massive amount of tennis this year, she did reach the quarter-finals of the Singapore Tennis Open just over a month ago, which constituted her furthest run at a WTA event – 250 or above – since the Guadalajara Open last September.

However, just last week the Colombian withdrew from her scheduled first-round match at the Merida Open due to abdominal pain, which casts some doubt on her physical condition in Indian Wells.

Abdominal issues have also plagued Naomi Osaka this year, who hasn’t been in action since she was forced to withdraw after losing the first set of her third-round contest with Belinda Bencic at the Australian Open in mid-January. The former world number one also withdrew from the final of the ASB Classic just before that because a of a similar issue, despite being a set to the good in that contest.

2018 champion Osaka has had plenty of time to recover since Melbourne though, and she has the class to win this Indian Wells opener in straight sets.
