Callan Rydz vs Romeo Grbavac Prediction

Callan Rydz returns to Alexandra Palace to make his sixth appearance in the tournament and he will be hoping to rekindle the magic from 2022 when he reached the quarter-finals. In every other edition, Rydz has been eliminated in the second round so he will be hoping to ensure he achieves that this year as an absolute minimum.

The world number 43 meets Croatia’s Romeo Grbavac in the first round and the 40-year-old will be hoping to impress on his debut. He has something of a breakout year as he has qualified for three European Tour events this year while he also put in a good showing at the World Cup. Along with his partner Boris Krvmar, they reached the quarter-finals in that event in June and he can take good confidence from that.

This will however be a really tough assignment for him here. Rydz is familiar and comfortable with the Ally Pally set-up and we fully expect him to ease to a comfortable victory.
