Cagliari Team News: Further issues for Zito Luvumbo

Throughout the campaign, Cagliari have had more or less a fully fit and available squad this weekend but Angola international Zito Luvumbo has been hit by persistent injury issues and he is now once again a doubt for this weekend, too.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Caprile; Zappa, Yerry Mina, Luperto, Obert; Zortea, Adopo, Makoumbou, Augello; Piccoli, Coman

Unavailable:

Questionable: Zito Luvumbo (Injured)

Genoa Team News: Attacking absentees

Despite Vieira lacking goals up-front, his poor relationship with Mario Balotelli means the former Manchester City forward is not a part of their squad, whilst former Olympique de Marseille striker Vitinha is also sidelined due to injury.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Leali; De Winter, Matturro, Johan Vasquez; Zanoli, Masini, Frendrup, Caricol; Junior Messias, Miretti; Pinamonti

Unavailable: Thorsby (Injured), Vitinha (Injured), Balotelli (Out of favour)

Questionable: Bani (Injured)

Cagliari vs Genoa Prediction

Cagliari, coached by Serie A’s miracle worker Davide Nicola, most recently suffered a 2-1 defeat away to a very strong Bologna side at the Renato Dall’Ara last weekend. The Sardinians had taken the lead in that game and have shown themselves to be competitive throughout the campaign. They now face a Genoa side that were frustratingly held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Empoli last weekend but Patrick Vieira’s side have moved firmly into the middle-of-the-table, despite a lack of goals. Cagliari are themselves hardly one of the more proactive sides in Italy either so a low-scoring affair appears very likely for this one.

Cagliari vs Genoa Tip: Under 3.5 goals
