Cabo Verde vs Mauritius Prediction

Cabo Verde have been developing over the years and have performed well in a couple of CAF Africa Cup of Nations’ campaigns as they now prepare to take on one of the weakest sides to have reached the group stages of African qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

Cabo Verde, coached by Bubista, play quite an entertaining and progressive style of football, although they have declined in the last 12 months or so after finishing rock-bottom in Group C of 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualification, most recently suffering a 1-0 loss away to Mauritania during the November international break.

They now face a Mauritius side that have collected four points from their opening four matches in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification. However, since earning their only victory of the campaign against a poor Eswatini side last summer, they have since failed to score in friendly matches against India, Syria and Hong Kong.

Cabo Verde haven’t been strong or convincing for a while and they will be a little concerned by that but they are the overwhelming favourites for this one against quite a poor side.
