Burkina Faso vs Djibouti Prediction

Burkina Faso have reached the knockout stages in four of the last five CAF Africa Cup of Nations, making the semi-final in three of those tournaments, but they were knocked out in the Round of 16 of the 2023 tournament in 2024 in the Ivory Coast last year.

The Burkinabe national team has seemingly weakened with results in general, as shown by that decline in AFCON performance. Their most recent outing saw them follow up a 1-0 loss to Senegal in the November international break by being thrashed by Malawi by three goals to nil a few days later.

Djibouti, though, are one of the weaker sides on the African continent and they do sit at the bottom of Group A, having collected one point from their opening four FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Under the management of Abdourahman Okie Hadi, ‘the Shoreman of the Red Sea’, as they are nicknamed, are 191st in the FIFA World Rankings.

Despite the fact that Burkina Faso are hardly overly convincing at the moment, they will be expected to come out on top in this one at the neutral ground of Stade El Abdi in Morocco.
