Brighton Preview: Need to show fight

Brighton and Hove Albion have had a topsy turvy campaign in Fabian Hurzeler’s, the youngest permanent manager in Premier League history, first season in charge but they remain in contention for potential UEFA Europa Conference League qualification.

The Seagulls continued their current poor run of form, though, last weekend with a 4-2 defeat to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium in a game in which they were level at 1-1 at half-time before going 3-1 down, fighting back and then conceding again in stoppage-time.

West Ham Preview: Need to show anything

West Ham United begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting 17th in the Premier League table, albeit comfortably safe, after a very disappointing season which has only got worse since the aforementioned Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui in mid-January.

The Hammers most recently shared a 1-1 draw with one of the worst teams in Premier League history, Southampton, at the London Stadium last weekend in a game in which they conceded a second-half stoppage-time equaliser via Chelsea loanee Lesley Ugochukwu.

Brighton vs West Ham Prediction

Brighton and Hove Albion have been trying to play a possession-dominant style of football, perhaps more similar to that of Potter a couple of seasons ago rather than that of Roberto De Zerbi. West Ham and this Potter side will also be trying to do that next year but, as Niclas Fullkrug bemoaned last weekend, they simply aren’t doing what they want to do right now and, even with poor form of their own, Brighton will be confident for this one with their home advantage.

Brighton vs West Ham Tip: Double chance – Brighton to win or draw
