Brentford Preview: Late blow at Fulham

Brentford seemed all set for a third Premier League victory in four games on Monday after Vitaly Janelt had put them ahead against Fulham with a fine long-range strike. However, the Cottagers were not to be denied with substitute Harry Wilson scoring an injury-time brace to complete a turnaround for the hosts, and ensure that Brentford left Craven Cottage empty-handed.

Thomas Frank's men return to the Gtech for this fixture though, where they have been excellent this season. The Bees are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions on home turf in 2024-25, and have picked up 13 points from a possible 15 in their own backyard.

Bournemouth Preview: Giant-killers

The morale in the Bournemouth camp is sure to be sky high right now with the Cherries having beaten title challengers Man City and Arsenal in their last three Premier League fixtures, with those wins sandwiching a late draw at Aston Villa.

As a result, Andoni Iraola's men find themselves in the top half heading into the weekend, although their only away victory in any competition this season remains their dramatic come-from-win at Everton at the end of August.

Brentford Team News: Ajer still out

Despite initially looking he could feature last week against Fulham, Kristoffer Ajer will definitely miss out as his foot didn't respond well to a return to training.

Rico Henry, Gustavo Nunes and Igor Thiago are the closest to a return and could be ready after the international break, although there will be extra caution around Henry given that he has been out for over a year with a serious knee injury.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Flekken; Roerslev, Collins, Pinnock, Van den Berg; Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Lewis-Potter; Wissa

Unavailable: Hickey (Injured), Henry (Fitness), Ajer (Injured), Dasilva (Injured), Nunes (Injured), Thiago (Injured)

Bournemouth Team News: Kepa available

A setback in his recovery will keep Luis Sinisterra out of action for a little while longer, while Dango Ouattara won't be risked despite being on the verge of a return.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has recovered and is now in contention to replace Mark Travers in goal, and Andoni Iraola has admitted that he is wrestling with that decision, while the outfield players are likely to be unchanged.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Cook, Christie; Semenyo, Kluivert, Tavernier; Evanilson

Unavailable: Scott (Injured), Sinisterra (Injured), Ouattara (Injured)

Brentford vs Bournemouth Prediction

The Cherries must feel like they can do no wrong right now, with superb recent victories at home against Arsenal and Man City propelling them into the top half of the Premier League table.

However, they have not been as impressive away from home, and they run into a Brentford side who have made the Gtech something of a fortress so far this season. The Bees will be smarting from their late defeat at the hands of Fulham and will be determined to make amends here, so consider draw no bet on the hosts.

Brentford vs Bournemouth Tip: Brentford draw no bet
