Brendan Allen: Top ten fighter aiming to bounce back from Imavov loss
Brendan Allen (24-6) had been on a great run of form that saw him break into the top ten in the middleweight division but he lost last time. He slipped to a unanimous decision loss against the impressive Nassourdine Imavov in September so he will be looking to bounce back from that and get back to winning ways here.
Anthony Hernandez: Middleweight targeting seventh successive win
Anthony Hernandez (13-2 with one no contest) has won his last six fights and he has impressed in doing so. His last two wins were both awarded Performance of the Night bonuses as he submitted Roman Kopylov and then TKO’d Michel Pereira. The manner of those performances have seen him earn a shot against Brendan Allen who is a familiar foe to him.
Brendan Allen vs Anthony Hernandez Prediction
This middleweight fight is rematch from more than seven years ago as Anthony Hernandez beat Brendan Allen back in LFA 32 by unanimous decision.
It is hard to read too much into that fight as both fighters have come on so much since then but it will be interesting to measure them up now.
The pair have combined for six Performance of the Night awards in the last few years and this has all the ingredients for another really good fight.
The only fear is if they cancel each other out and that this ends up going to another decision but it should still be an entertaining bout.
We like Brendan Allen’s chances of avenging that loss and equalling the score with Hernandez here.
Prediction: Brendan Allen to win
