Brandon Nakashima vs Ben Shelton Prediction

Brandon Nakashima has been in fine form so far this week at Indian Wells as he has won both of his matches so far in straight sets.

He overcame Rinky Hijikata in his opening match 7-5 6-1 and then eased past Matteo Arnaldi 6-2 6-4 to earn this round of 16 clash with his compatriot Ben Shelton.

Ben Shelton comes off an excellent 6-3 7-5 win over Karen Khachanov and it was an excellent all-round performance.

Shelton has had the edge over Nakashima in their previous meetings having won all three matches including their last at the Australian Open just two months ago. Each set was close but Shelton won out 7-6 7-5 7-5.

We expect Shelton to progress here too. He just has that extra x-factor over Nakashima and assuming there is no complacency on his past, he should get the win.
