26-year-old Briton Daniel Dubois is looking to continue his heavyweight career rebuild this weekend in Saudi Arabia. He recovered from losing to the now undisputed champion of two weights Oleksandr Usyk in August 2023 by defeating Jarrell Miller in the final of a ten-round battle at the Kingdom Arena in December. He has 20 victories and two defeats in his professional boxing career. Filip Hrgovic, who once won a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro at super-heavyweight level, is looking to continue his 100% record as a professional boxer; whereby he has won 17 out of 17 so far, including a first round defeat of Mark de Mori in December. As many experts have suggested, such as both Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang, there is a prevailing wind between these two ahead of this weekend. Hrgovic looks in a good position to win the IBF belt this year with the organisation ranking him as world number one and reportedly likely to strip Usyk of the belt and Dubois’ unconvincing win over Miller in the winter means the Croat comes in as slight favourites.
