Bournemouth Preview: Cherries on the push

AFC Bournemouth are hoping to keep hold of manager Andoni Iraola this summer amidst several links elsewhere. After a badly timed wobble through the spring, the Cherries are now in major contention for a top eight or nine finish and potential European qualification.

The home team come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last weekend after a return to winning ways against Fulham and that means they are now unbeaten in their last three matches in the league.

Man Utd Preview: Focus on Europe

Much like Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United have endured a miserable Premier League campaign but the Red Devils are now preparing for a UEFA Europa League semi-final tie against Athletic Club later this week, which has to be the focus and priority for the club.

Their poor league campaign continued last weekend, though, much like Spurs, as they suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Easter Sunday at Old Trafford with Spain international Pablo Sarabia notching an excellent second-half free-kick.

Bournemouth Team News: Cook a doubt

In his pre-match press conference, Bournemouth boss Iraola has confirmed that defensive midfielder Lewis Cook will have to be a 'late call' has he continues to fight back from an injury. They have a few confirmed absentees, though, such as Ryan Christie, Luis Sinisterra and Enes Unal.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Scott, Adams; Semenyo, Kluivert, Ouattara; Evanilson

Unavailable: Christie (Injured), Sinisterra (Injured), Unal (Injured)

Questionable: Cook (Fitness)

Man Utd Team News: Potential rotation

It has been confirmed that Portugal international wing-back Diogo Dalot is now unavailable for this weekend's trip down to the south coast due to a calf injury. They are also expected to be without both Matthijs de Ligt and Amad Diallo but they are both nearing a return.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Onana; Mazraoui, Lindelof, Maguire; Dorgu, Ugarte, Fernandes, Amass; Garnacho, Mainoo; Hojlund

Unavailable: Heaven (Injured), De Ligt (Injured), Martinez (Injured), Dalot (Injured), Diallo (Injured), Zirkzee (Injured)

Questionable: Collyer (Injured)

Bournemouth vs Man Utd Prediction

AFC Bournemouth have flagged as the season has gone on with the intensity of Iraola’s style of football but the Cherries can still achieve an impressive top eight finish in the final few weeks of the campaign. They will, especially at home, seek to swarm a fragile and vulnerable United side that simply lack any sort of cohesion both in defence and attack so a Bournemouth victory is to be expected this weekend.
