Bournemouth Preview: Challenge for the Cherries

AFC Bournemouth were enjoying an extremely impressive campaign and appeared like they could challenge for the UEFA Champions League places but the Cherries have since more or less collapsed in the last couple of months.

Andoni Iraola’s side come into this one on the back of a 2-2 draw with West Ham United at the London Stadium last weekend to mean they are now winless inside 90 or 120 minutes in their last eight matches across all competitions.

Fulham Preview: Consistency needed for the Cottagers

Fulham have put in some good performances on the big stage under Marco Silva and that continued last weekend as the Cottagers defeated champions-elect Liverpool by three goals to two at Craven Cottage last weekend.

That victory has lifted them into the top eight and the European spots ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures and was much-needed having previously lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup before a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal since the March international break.

Bournemouth Team News: Kluivert doubt

Luis Sinisterra has been injured for the vast majority of this campaign and the Colombia international is edging towards full fitness for this weekend, remaining as a doubt alongside both Justin Kluivert and Marcus Tavernier. Ryan Christie's season is over, though, after undergoing surgery this week.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Huijsen, Kerkez; Cook, Adams; Semenyo, Scott, Ouattara; Evanilson

Unavailable: Christie (Injured), Unal (Injured)

Questionable: Kluivert (Injured), Tavernier (Injured), Sinisterra (Injured)

Fulham Team News: Wilson pushing

Marco Silva has confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Fulham have no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues. Harry Wilson has returned to training this week and could be involved for this weekend, whilst Kenny Tete returned to action off the bench last weekend.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Sessegnon, Pereira, Iwobi; Muniz

Unavailable: Nelson (Injured)

Questionable: Wilson (Injured)

Bournemouth vs Fulham Prediction

AFC Bournemouth have been entertaining to watch throughout the campaign despite their dip in form and even in their dip in form, as shown against West Ham last week, they have shown an appetite and ability to attack well. They now face a Fulham side that themselves can be haphazard at both ends of the pitch so this one does have the potential to be quite an entertaining encounter down at the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
