Botic van de Zandschulp has had quite the journey at Indian Wells this year as after being eliminated in the qualifying rounds, he made the most of his lucky loser reprieve to beat two legends of the sport. First he claimed a victory over Nick Kyrgios in the first round and then he pulled off a three-set victory over Novak Djokovic last time out.

The 29-year-old is making a habit of beating some of the best players the sport has seen and it will be interesting to see if he can raise his game to face Francisco Cerundolo here.

The Argentine is the 25th seed at Indian Wells this week and he came through a tough three-set encounter with Mackenzie McDonald.

Cerundolo has started 2025 pretty well and he picked up some good wins on the South American clay leg of the tour including one victory over Alexander Zverev. He is solid enough on hard courts too though as he showed in reaching the third round in the Australian Open.

We marginally prefer Cerundolo in this one but with no real confidence. It is game betting that interests us and overs in a match which could easily go three sets.
