Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Cyprus Prediction

Bosnia-Herzegovina finished rock-bottom in League A with a tough group such as Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands but they pulled off a surprise in their opening qualifier as they take on what is quite a poor Cyprus side.

The Bosnians, following on from what was a tough autumn, went away to the National Arena in Bucharest the other day and managed to defeat an improving and relatively strong Romania side by a goal to nil thanks to a winning strike from Holstein Kiel midfielder Armin Gigovic early on in the first-half.

Cyprus, though, have been underperforming for a few years after a mid-2010’s height. The Cypriots did manage to kick off their UEFA 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a comfortable 2-0 defeat of San Marino the other day thanks to goals from Ioannis Pittas and Andronikos Kakoullis.

Bosnia-Herzegovina are not an emerging or an improving side but, especially with their home advantage, will be confident of making it back-to-back wins to kick off their qualifying campaign.
