Bo Nickal: Unbeaten wrestler looks to extend stoppage streak
Bo Nickal (6-0) has been on an absolute tear since his transition to mixed martial arts and the wrestler will be looking to make another statement at UFC 309. He has shown he has power in fact with his 38-second knockout of Val Woodburn at UFC 290, and he is deadly with his submissions with four wins coming that way. The UFC are building him up nicely and this is another step up for him in the middleweight division.
Paul Craig: Angry Scot fired up to play spoiler role
Paul Craig (17-8-1) comes into this fight having lost four of his last five in the UFC. His last fight at UFC 301 in Brazil saw him knocked out by Caio Borralho and it will be interesting to see how he bounces back from that against Bo Nickal. The last time he was knocked out by Johnny Walker in January 2023, he bounced back immediately with a TKO of his own against Andre Muniz. He will be desperate for a similar kind of response here but that will not be easy against an uber confident Bo Nickal.
Bo Nickal vs Paul Craig Prediction
This is another one-sided fight on paper as Bo Nickal is heavily favoured to get the win at UFC 309 the impressive middleweight is destined for bigger things and this fight against Paul Craig is just another stepping stone for him.
As much as we like Paul Craig as a fighter, we simply cannot make a case for him getting the win here. We expect Nickal to dominate with his wrestling which will lay the foundations for another stoppage victory.
Prediction: Bo Nickal to win by stoppage
