Bianca Andreescu vs Suzan Lamens prediction

Bianca Andreescu makes her long-awaited comeback to the WTA Tour after a lengthy time out with injury. She last competed at the Japan Open last October but looked set to return earlier on in the year. Unfortunately, she was then forced to undergo appendix surgery. She has dropped to 130th in the world rankings but has no points to defend until Roland Garros and will try to climb back into the top 100 and enjoy an injury free remainder of the season.

Her opponent will be Suzan Lamens, who defeated Katie Boulter in the singles of qualifying for the Billie Jean Cup but lost in the doubles which sent Great Britain through at the expense of the Netherlands.

It is encouraging that Andreescu is making her return to the sport after so long out, and she still possess qualities to her game that can cause problems for Lamens, but we think the Belgian will outlast the 2019 US Open champion and advance.
