14:10 Carlisle

Zabeel Champion is a solid performer on the flat and got his hurdling career off to a fine start with a win at Leicester in November. He backed that up with a second on the same course last time out but there looks like more to come owing to his record on the flat and can get his nose in front in this contest.

16:40 Fontwell

This looks like a race that could go one of several ways but preference is for Antony to finish in the frame. The veteran has not won since 2018 but finished second at Plumpton last time out and was also second when finishing a short-head behind the winner over C&D in October last year so even if he is unable to break his duck, his recent efforts suggest he can at least go close once again.

16:55 Wolverhampton

Dark Design produced three wins last year and almost added to that in his opening race of 2022 but was edged into third spot over C&D last month. He was perhaps unfortunate in that contest but can make amends going off the same mark here and just 2lbs up from his last success at Chelmsford on debut for his new stable.
