Benin vs South Africa Prediction

Due to the general underperformance of Nigeria thus far, both Benin and South Africa have been able to benefit from that as they begin the sixth match day of CAF qualification sitting first and second in Group C.

Benin lost their opening game of qualification to the South Africans in the reverse fixture of this one but have since enjoyed a four-match unbeaten run of form with two draws and two victories. They most recently shared a 2-2 draw with Zimbabwe the other day in a frustrating game as the Moses Mabhida Stadium in which they had been 2-0 up.

South Africa, on the other hand, under the management of Belgian coach Hugo Broos, are looking to build on reaching the semi-finals of the 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in 2024. Bafana Bafana managed to comfortably defeat local rivals Lesotho by two goals to nil the other day at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

This is a game between two sides that will be fearful of losing and allowing Nigeria to close the gap so, as a result, a cautious and potentially low-scoring affair is to be expected for this one.
