Ben Shelton vs Jack Draper Prediction

Ben Shelton has already surpassed his previous best finish at Indian Wells by reaching the quarter-finals but the American will have hopes of going even further.

He has three straight-sets wins under his belt and he once again had the edge over compatriot Brandon Nakashima in the round of 16 winning 7-6 6-1.

He will now take on British number one Jack Draper who he has never previously played on the ATP Tour and it will be interesting to see which of the left-handers can gain superiority.

Draper comes off an outstanding 7-5 6-4 win over Taylor Fritz and the manner of that win will give Draper huge confidence. He outserved Fritz and took three of the four break points he generated to ensure he won in straight sets without giving the third seed much of a chance.

With Draper in that kind of form, it is hard to see him being beaten by almost anybody but it will make for a really good game here. Shelton has an exceptional serve of his own and this match will come down to taking the key points at key moments. We expect Draper to edge this one but it really could go all the way.
