Belinda Bencic vs Diana Shnaider Prediction

Belinda Bencic continued her strong recent form by seeing off 17th seed Amanda Anisimova in the second-round, responding to losing the second set on a tie-break by storming the decider 6-1.

The Abu Dhabi Open champion last month, Bencic is a former semi-finalist at Indian Wells having reached the last four in 2019, but this is the furthest she has progressed since then.

Most of Diana Shnaider’s best results this year have come on the Doubles circuit, although the fact she has already been eliminated from the Doubles event at Indian Wells could serve as a benefit to her in what is only her second entry into the main draw of the Singles event.

A winner of four Singles events last year, world number 13 Shnaider dropped just two games against Alycia Parks in the second round and is capable of defeating Bencic here, although not without a fight.
