Bayern Munich Team News: Star striker a huge doubt

After being forced off at half-time in midweek with a calf injury, there is a big question mark over Harry Kane’s availability here. Should the England star miss out, then either Thomas Muller or Serge Gnabry could deputise up top.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Laimer, Upamecano, Kim, Davies; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Musiala, Coman; Muller

Unavailable:

Questionable: Kane (Injured), Peretz (Injured)

Eintracht Frankfurt Team News: Gotze could miss out

Illness may prevent attacking midfielder Mario Gotze from featuring against his former club and he is one of three players doubtful for Eintracht, the others being Oscar Hojlund and Ellyes Skhiri.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Trapp; Collins, Tuta, Theate; Kristensen, Dahoud, Larsson, Brown; Knauff, Ekitike, Uzun

Unavailable: Dina Ebimbe (Injured), Koch (Injured), Matanovic (Injured)

Questionable: Hojlund (Injured), Skhiri (Injured), Gotze (Illness)

Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction

Unbeaten in their last eight league matches, Bayern Munich host an Eintracht Frankfurt side who haven’t lost in their most recent seven Bundesliga fixtures. Whilst the gap between the two stands at a mammoth 13 points, Eintracht still have their eyes on second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, who in turn will want Bayern to drop points here after Vincent Kompany’s side took a point from the BayArena last weekend.

Eintracht won’t go down quietly despite being away from home, so expect them to take the game to what can be a vulnerable Bayern backline. Kompany’s men should be far more aggressive from an attacking perspective with them being at home, which is likely to lead to a game similar to what we saw between the two sides in Frankfurt. Regardless of the result, back both teams to score.
