Bayer Leverkusen Preview: Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen
Xabi Alonso has done a remarkable job in charge of Bayer Leverkusen and, although his time at the club may be coming to an end with renewed links to Real Madrid, he could still sign off with another Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich dropping points before the international break.
Leverkusen went into the March international break with a typical Leverkusen victory from last season as they defeated Stuttgart by four goals to three in a game in which they were 3-1 down but snatched all three points via a 94th minute Patrik Schick winner.
Bochum Preview: Slight improvement for battling Bochum
Bochum, after avoiding the drop in the end of season relegation/promotion playoff place last season, have struggled throughout the campaign and do remain in the bottom two and the automatic relegation places in the Bundesliga but there has been an improvement in 2025.
Despite that general improvement, the visitors did head into the March international break on the back of a 3-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt a couple of weeks ago in a game at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion whereby a two-goal deficit arguably flattered them.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bochum Prediction
Bayer Leverkusen have not been convincing throughout the campaign but they may well have stumbled back upon their winning ways. They face a Bochum side that, as mentioned, have proven themselves to be more competitive and have found something in attack in their 4-4-2 system. Leverkusen should come out on top at home against poor opposition but they have made a habit of making things entertaining and dramatic.
