Barcelona Preview: Brilliant Blaugrana
Barcelona were forced by La Liga to play their rearranged game against Osasuna technically still within the March international break but the Blaugrana managed to win by three goals to nil thanks to goals from Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski.
The Catalans now begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting back at the top-of-the-table in La Liga with a three-point lead against Real Madrid with a better goal difference and a better head-to-head record. They are chasing the treble this season.
Girona Preview: Not yet safe
Girona are not yet safe. Michel said it would be a much tougher this season as they finished third and qualified for the UEFA Champions League in just their fifth La Liga season last year before selling off several key players and they are hovering just above the danger zone.
The visitors most recent outing saw them share a 1-1 draw with Valencia at Montilivi a couple of weeks ago before the break with Cristhian Stuani scoring an equalising goal around six minutes after Diego Lopez had opened the scoring in the second-half.

Barcelona vs Girona Prediction
Barcelona have been brilliant throughout the campaign and they have now scored 135 goals in 44 matches across all competitions so far this season as they chase the treble this season with a Copa del Rey semi-final second-leg against Atletico Madrid coming up before a UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie against Borussia Dortmund in April. They face a Girona side that have struggled throughout the campaign and begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just seven points above the bottom three and the relegation places with ten games to go. Another comfortable Barca victory is to be expected for this one at Estadi Olympic Lluis Companys.
