Austria Preview: Victory needed in Vienna
Former Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick is in charge of an Austrian side that have improved over the last few years and were impressive to watch at UEFA EURO 2024 before their Round of 16 elimination at the hands of Turkey.
The Austrians come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Kazakhstan away from home the other day thanks to first-half goals from Michael Gregoritsch and Christoph Baumgartner following on from hammering of the Kazakhs as well as Norway last month.
Slovenia Preview: Slovenian frustration
Slovenia also impressed at UEFA EURO 2024 as they reached the Round of 16 in Germany and shared a goalless draw after extra-time with Portugal before being knocked out on penalties. The Slovenians blew their chance of promotion the other night.
With Group 4 of League B delicately poised, the Slovenians welcomed Norway to Ljubljana the other day. They went behind early on to an Antonio Nusa strike before levelling up. However, they went on to suffer a 4-1 loss to the Norwegians in the Slovenian capital.

Austria vs Slovenia Prediction
Austria, much like Slovenia and Norway, have made easy work of Kazakhstan in this group but they have laid down a marker against a stronger side with their 5-1 demolition of the Norwegians last month. They play a slick and aggressive pressing style of football that, especially for a team with nothing to play for, will be difficult to handle and, with home advantage, a comfortable Norway win securing League B promotion is to be expected.
Austria vs Slovenia Tip: Austria to win -1 handicap
