Australia vs Indonesia Prediction
Under the management of Graham Arnold, the Socceroos have majorly underperformed in qualification campaigns, despite reaching the knockout stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They will simply have to win this game to get supporters back on side.
Arnold has since been relieved of his duties and replaced by former Crystal Palace defender Patrick Kisnorbo in the dugout. With just one win in six matches, it is quite remarkable that they begin the seventh match day of the third round of AFC qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup sitting tucked inside the top two and the automatic promotion spots.
They now face an Indonesia side that come into this one on the back of their first victory in the second round of qualification to propel themselves into contention, most recently defeating Saudi Arabia by two goals to nil in the November international break thanks to a brace of goals in either half scored by Oxford United midfielder Marselino Ferdinan.
Indonesia may prove to be stubborn opposition for Australia but the Socceroos, with fresh ideas in the dugout as well as home advantage, will remain firm favourites for this one.
Australia vs Indonesia Tip: Australia to win & under 3.5 goals
