Australia Betting Analysis
Although she’s perhaps not had the Ashes series she’d have hoped to with the bat, class is permanent when it comes to Ellyse Perry and it would be no surprise to see her save her best performance for the biggest stage. She hit 99 in the last Test match between these two teams and she’ll be aiming to go one better at the MCG. Her game with the bat is well-suited to red ball cricket and against a bowling attack lacking confidence, Perry is well worth backing to score a hundred in the match.
England Betting Analysis
After not featuring in the T20i matches, top order batter Tammy Beaumont is expected to come back into the England line-up for this Test match. The same match where Perry scored 99 at Trent Bridge back in 2023, also saw Beaumont strike an incredible 208, the highest score ever accumulated by an England women’s player and the first double-century. Like Perry, Beaumont’s style of batting is also an excellent fit for Test cricket, she’s a wonderful stroke player but also incredibly patient and capable of occupying the crease for long periods, demonstrating great concentration. Back Beaumont to finish this one-off Test as England’s highest-scoring batter.
Australia vs England Expert Prediction
The pitch is likely to play a part in the potential outcome of this game with a friendlier batting surface making it harder for both sides to carve out a result. But even if we do see a flat track at the MCG, Australia will still be confident of taking 20 wickets against an England line-up that has disappointed at every turn over the course of this Ashes series and who will be feeling the pressure, knowing the consequences of defeat and being on the wrong end of history.
Unfortunately for the tourists, it’s difficult to see this one ending any other way. Australia have consistently gotten over the line in games even when not at their best. They’ll be fired up and motivated for the opportunity to play Test cricket at such an iconic venue, so it would be no surprise if we saw the best of them as a result. Therefore, back Australia to inflict the maximum punishment on England and complete a famous victory, along with a 16-0 sweep.
