Australia Betting Analysis

The Australian bowlers clutched up to defend 180 after losing eight wickets for just 49 runs in their innings. Alana King in particular, was brilliant for the hosts. The leg-spin bowler picked up four wickets for the loss of just 25 runs over the course of her ten over spell. England had no answer to King and it would be no surprise to see her lead the Australian bowling charge again on this occasion. Back King to record 2+ wickets via the ‘Bowler Milestones’ market.

England Betting Analysis

On what is expected to be a drier pitch, England’s spinners will be critical to any success they potentially have in this third ODI. That of course, leads us to Sophie Ecclestone, who took four wickets last time out and now boasts six wickets across the series so far. She is England’s ace in the pack and warrants backing not just to take over 1.5 match wickets here, but also to finish as her side’s top bowler in Tasmania.

Australia vs England Expert Prediction

As we’ve mentioned in previous predictions of this Women’s Ashes, momentum will be critical to success in such a short, sharp series. Right now, Australia have it all thanks to their two wins so far, despite not playing anywhere near the levels they are capable of, especially with the bat. At some point, they will click into gear and it really could start to get ugly for England, who threw away a golden opportunity last time out.

The tourists now need to win three of the remaining four white ball games to give themselves a chance of regaining the Ashes with victory in the one-off Test. But over the course of a 50-over contest, England’s batters just lack that ruthless edge and the ability to clutch up. They are too reliant on the likes of Nat Sciver-Brunt and it’s likely to continue costing them. Whilst England are in must-win territory, it’s Australia who should be backed to get the job done again.
