Australia Betting Analysis
The hosts will be delighted at the start Alyssa Healy has made to this series. Their captain, wicket-keeper and opener, Healy’s 70 from 78 balls broke the back of her side’s 205-run chase in Sydney. With such a short turnaround between games, momentum is going to be key and that makes backing Healy follow up that knock with another score of 30+ runs here potentially a smart play.
England Betting Analysis
One area where England match Australia is the spin-bowling department and we saw them in the first ODI. Sophie Ecclestone was excellent, picking up two wickets for the loss of only 38 runs from ten overs. The tourists’ star left-arm spinner’s contribution could be critical for England in Melbourne and therefore, it would be sensible to consider a stake on her to acquire over 1.5 match wickets for the second game running.
Australia vs England Expert Prediction
Although Australia were largely in control of their run chase last time out, England showed flashes of danger both with the ball and the bat. Ultimately, the visitors failed to execute in key situations, whilst batters getting starts but not going on to make big scores also proved problematic. Australia’s streetwise nature and general excellent in the field gives them a real edge over their fierce rivals.
Expect another contest where both bowling attacks reign in their respective opponents. But the high temperatures forecast won’t work in the favour of England, who are a weaker fielding unit and their bowlers will have to really dig deep in the heat of Melbourne. Throw in Australia’s batting depth and the momentum that came from winning in Sydney and backing the hosts to put another win on the board feels like the right move to make.
