ATLETICO MADRID PREVIEW: STRUGGLING LOS ROJIBLANCOS

Diego Simeone is under growing pressure in charge of Atletico Madrid with Los Rojiblancos continuing to underwhelm and stagnate despite the evolution of their squad and their personnel in the last few years.

The capital city club come into this one on the back of a really poor performance against Vic in the first round of the Copa del Rey in midweek as they won by two goals to nil with a late brace of goals from big money summer signing Julian Alvarez.

LAS PALMAS PREVIEW: STRUGGLING CANARIANS

Over the summer, Las Palmas lost manager Garcia Pimienta to Sevilla and replaced him with Luis Carrion. He didn’t last too long as they struggled at the bottom-of-the-table and he was replaced by former Getafe boss Diego Martinez.

The impressive Diego Martinez has helped Las Palmas earn their first two victories of the Liga season in their first two matches before the Canary Islanders then hammered Ontinena by seven goals to nil in the cup in midweek.

ATLETICO MADRID TEAM NEWS: DEFENSIVE INJURIES

LAS PALMAS TEAM NEWS: PRETTY MUCH FULLY FIT

Las Palmas have been dealing with several injury issues throughout the campaign but they just have a couple of doubts for this one with Marvin Park and Ivan Gil potentially out.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Cillessen; Viti, Alex Suarez, McKenna, Alex Munoz; Dario Essugo, Jose Campana; Manu Fuster, Kirian Rodriguez, Alberto Moleiro; Silva

ATLETICO MADRID VS LAS PALMAS PREDICTION

Atletico Madrid are struggling for any real form and fluency with their defeat of Vic in midweek an extremely underwhelming result once again. Prior to that victory they had lost to Real Betis and Lille making it just one win in six matches across all competitions. They come up against a revitalised and reinvigorated Las Palmas side that will take the game to them at the Metropolitano and it could well be a good value bet to side with the Canary Islanders in the capital city.
