Aston Villa Preview: Villains on the night
Aston Villa come into this one on the back of a very impressive 3-0 hammering of relegated Southampton at St Mary’s down on the south coast at the weekend. The Villains romped to that victory courtesy of goals from Ollie Watkins, Donyell Malen and John McGinn.
They have now enjoyed eight victories in their last nine matches across all competitions with the only game they failed to win being the first-leg of this tie at the Parc des Princes last week, whereby they took the lead but eventually suffered a 3-1 loss to the Parisiens.
Paris Saint-Germain Preview: Parisien dominance
Paris Saint-Germain went behind against the run of play last week due to a Morgan Rogers strike at the end of a swift and impressive counter-attack. However, they turned the game on its head thanks to strikes from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes.
Luis Enrique’s side are chasing the treble this season and they have already wrapped up the Ligue 1 title, where they were granted a weekend off over the last few days, and face Stade de Reims in the final of the Coupe de France next month.
Aston Villa Team News: Rotation at the weekend
Aston Villa didn't make too many changes this weekend but there are likely to be a couple of changes such as Pau Torres and Lucas Digne coming back in, albeit Tyrone Mings is fighting for his spot ahead of Torres. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Rashford drift out to the left with Ollie Watkins going through the middle in place of Jacob Ramsey.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; Kamara, Tielemans; Asensio, Rogers, Rashford; Watkins

Questionable: Bailey (Fitness)
Paris Saint-Germain Team News: Fully fit
Much like the rest of the campaign now that Presnel Kimpembe has returned from his extremely long injury layoff, Paris Saint-Germain have a fully fit and available squad as they make the trip to Villa Park this weekend. The likelihood is they stick with the same side as last week aside from Marquinhos coming back in for Lucas Beraldo.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

Aston Villa vs Paris Saint-Germain Prediction
Unai Emery has been able to regularly produce impressive results and performances beyond expectation with a meticulous and detailed planning almost unrivalled at high level football. 2-1 would have given them a real chance last week but they face a much tougher test to take a two-goal deficit to extra-time. PSG would perhaps be best suited to playing on the counter-attack in a game they don’t have to chase but it is unlikely that Luis Enrique will do that so both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one at Villa Park.
