Ashlyn Krueger vs Katie Volynets Prediction

It has been an excellent start to the year for Ashlyn Krueger, who has broken into the top 50 for the first time in her career and reached her first WTA 500 final just last month at the Abu Dhabi Open.

The 20-year-old is participating in the Indian Wells Open for the fifth time in her career, and although she has never progressed beyond the first round, she will have belief that she can do so this time around given the confidence she is carrying right now.

Katie Volynets, meanwhile, has had a less productive 2025 to date, although she did reach the last eight of the aforementioned Abu Dhabi Open where she lost to top seed Elena Rybakina in three sets.

Krueger is ranked 24 places above her compatriot and has form going in her favour. She is favoured to win this but these all-American affairs often go to a deciding set, so expect a close battle.
