Aryna Sabalenka vs Mirra Andreeva Prediction
In the semi-finals Aryna Sabalenka faced an opponent in Madison Keys who was riding a 16-match winning streak, and who had beaten her in the final of the Australian Open in January. However, the world number one turned the tables in emphatic fashion by dropping just one game in a crushing 6-0, 6-1 victory that lasted under an hour.
Sabalenka hasn’t dropped a set at Indian Wells as she aims to win the so-called ‘fifth major’ for the first time in her career, having previously lost in the final to Elena Rybakina two years ago.
Mirra Andreeva continued her seemingly unstoppably ascent up the WTA rankings with a hugely impressive three-set win over Iga Swiatek – the second time in as many tournament that she has defeated the world number two.
The 17-year-old extended her winning streak to 11 games in the process, and she faces Sabalenka for the sixth time in her young career, and the third time this year alone. Sabalenka was a relatively comfortable winner in both hard-court meetings in 2025 – in Brisbane and Melbourne – while Andreeva’s only success against the world number one came at last year’s French Open.
The bookies have Sabalenka as favourite, and whilst we don’t disagree with that assessment, it is unlikely to be as comfortable for the top seed as it was in their two contests during the Australian swing. Andreeva is seemingly improving by the week and will be full of confidence after defeating Swiatek, but Sabalenka has consistently played at the top of her game in this tournament and has barely showed any vulnerability. In what could be a thrilling final in this burgeoning rivalry, we’re taking Sabalenka to win in three sets.
Aryna Sabalenka vs Mirra Andreeva Tip: Aryna Sabalenka to win 2-1
