Aryna Sabalenka vs Jelena Ostapenko prediction

Aryna Sabalenka will look to make it a case of fourth time lucky when she faces off with Jelena Ostapenko for the Stuttgart title. 

The Belarusian has lost on all three of her previous appearances in the final at this venue, but will be a clear favourite this time around after sinking fifth seed Jasmine Paolini 7-5 6-4.

The world number one meets an in-form Jelena Ostapenko, who followed up her win over Iga Swiatek with a solid 6-4 6-4 success of Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova in the other semi final. 

Ostapenko is looking for the upset to land her maiden title of 2025 and her first on clay since Roland-Garros eight years ago, but Sabalenka owns the head-to-head 3-0 and won 6-2 6-4 in their only other clash on clay in Rome last year.  

It’ll be a big-hitting contest with plenty of blistering winners and unforced errors, but Sabalenka should dominate and have the greater consistency, particularly in the key moments.
