Aryna Sabalenka vs Anna Blinkova prediction

Arnya Sabalenka reached her third consecutive final and fifth of the season in Stuttgart. Despite having never lost to Jelena Ostapenko previously, the world number one was never in the contest and slumped to a 6-4 6-1 defeat. She must get over that disappointment quickly as she looks to reclaim the Madrid Open title. A winner in 2023, she lost a rematch of that final last year against Iga Swiatek. 

Anna Blinkova defeated Panna Udvardy 6-3 6-2 to secure a match with the world number one. It’s already been a positive week for the Russian having also made it through qualifying without dropping a set. Sabalenka has won all three of their encounters, including a match on clay in Strasbourg in 2020 and the most recent meeting at Wimbledon in 2023.

We think the Belarussian will get her campaign started with a very comfortable victory to advance to the third-round.
