Aryna Sabalenka vs Anastasia Potapova prediction

Three-time finalist Aryna Sabalenka begins her latest quest to land the Stuttgart title against Anastasia Potapova. 

The Belarusian opens the clay swing on the back of lifting the title in Miami and should have far too much firepower for the Russian.

Potapova came from behind to edge past Denmark’s Clara Tauson 2-6 7-6 6-3, saving match point along the way. The Russian’s first serve percentage was only just over 50% and she will have to raise that considerably to give the world number one any sort of test. 

Sabalenka’s power is likely to be too much and a similar scoreline to their only previous encounter, a 6-1 6-2 success for the three-time major winner in the semi-finals in Stuttgart in 2023, looks very likely.
