Arthur Fils vs Nuno Borges Prediction

Arthur Fils has not quite got his year going just yet but the talented Frenchman will be hoping to build some momentum now.

The 20-year-old has only played one tournament since he retired in the Australian Open against Ugo Humbert and he was eliminated in the round of 16 in Rotterdam.

He will hope to get some wins under his belt and he faces Nuno Borges in Dubai who he beat on both occasions in straight sets when they met in 2024.

Nuno Borges has had some good wins already in 2025 and looked pretty good in Doha last week before losing to eventual winner Andrey Rublev. The 28-year-old will be hoping to enjoy a solid week in Dubai now but this is a tough test against an opponent who had his number in their two meetings last year.

So much depends on what version of Fils turns up but we sense he will come into this motivated. His year has been mediocre so far but with the Sunshine Double around the corner, we think he comes in fully focused and gets the win here.
