Arthur Fils vs Carlos Alcaraz prediction

Arthur Fils made it through to his third consecutive Masters 1000 quarter-final with a fine 6-2 6-3 win over Andrey Rublev. The Frenchman created nine break point opportunities during the match, taking five of them whilst only conceding one on his own serve. His strong performance centred around his strong forehand and fine return game, and the 20-year-old must head into this encounter with Carlos Alcaraz full of confidence.

Alcaraz made it through to the last eight with a comfortable victory over Daniel Altmaier. The Spaniard once again started slowly, as he did against Francisco Cerundolo when he lost the first set, but managed to save break points in a few close games before romping home to victory. He beat the German qualifier 6-3 6-1.

This is a highly anticipated matchup, considering they’ve never faced each other before and will likely be two of the names dominating the sport for the next five to ten years.
