Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Newcastle United last week in the first-leg of their EFL Cup semi-final and the pressure grew further on the Spaniard, with the Gunners struggling to keep pace with league leaders Liverpool, by suffering a penalty shootout defeat to ten-man Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the FA Cup third round at the weekend. They now face a Tottenham Hotspur side that were taken to extra-time by non-league Tamworth before running out 3-0 winners in an extremely poor position just days after a very good performance in a 1-0 win over Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first-leg of their cup semi. Spurs are expected to, as ever, take the game to their opposition and with both sides seemingly fragile and vulnerable at the moment, both teams scoring seems a good bet for this North London Derby.
