ARIANE LIPSKI DA SILVA: BRAZILIAN FLYWEIGHT LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK FROM FIRST LOSS IN FOUR
Ariane Lipski da Silva (17-9) is coming off a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Karine Silva last time out so she will be keen to get back on the winning trail. She has great momentum prior to that loss in April having won all three of her fights in 2023 and she will look to bounce back here. She currently sits 13th in the rankings and a win here could push her closer to the top ten.
JASMINE JASUDAVICIUS: CANADIAN LOOKING FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE VICTORY
Jasmine Jasudavicius (11-3) has won her last two fights in the Octagon and is looking for her third successive win in 2024. She has really good momentum behind her right now and as she sits in 14th in the rankings, this is a good opportunity to kick on and move up closer, if not in, the top ten. Her confidence is high following these two wins and her only defeat in the last five came via the scorecards as she lost to Tracy Cortez. Jasudavicius is a fighter on the rise and she can kick on here.
ARIANE LIPSKI DA SILVA VS JASMINE JASUDAVICIUS PREDICTION
These two fights sit 13th and 14th respectively in the women’s flyweight rankings as Ariane Lipski da Silva and Jasmine Jasudavicius meet in the Octagon.
It is Jasudavicius who has momentum in her favour and we have one good measuring stick with a recent mutual opponent. The Canadian submitted Priscila Cachoeira earlier this year at UFC 297 but Cachoeira had previously knocked out Lipski da Silva in August 2022.
Of course, it is not as simple as that, but it does strengthen our take that Jasudavicius is the one on the rise and the one we edge in this fight. Home support will only help her further and she is our pick to get the win in this one.
