Travel Distances 2019-20 – National League South
Here at TSZ we have put together a list of all the travel distances for the top six tiers of English football. The distances have been determined by using the shortest route by road on Google Maps (stadium to stadium).
This article focuses on the 2019-20 National League South season.
TOTAL DISTANCES
- Situated on the Dorset coastline, Weymouth fans will have the furthest to travel in the National League South in the 2019-20 season. Their average away day commute will be 138.0 miles, meaning if any fan decides to attend all away matches, they'll clock up 2898 miles of total travel - and that doesn't even include the trip home!
- Dulwich Hamlet fans have the honour of having to travel the least distance for their 2019-20 National League South away days. Being situated in the south has afforded fans of the club an average drive of 50.9 miles per away day - or 1069 miles miles in total.
WHAT IS THE LONGEST AWAY TRIP IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH?
- The match-up between Braintree and Weymouth represents the longest single away trip for all clubs in this season's National League South (194 miles).
- In fact, a trip to the Bob Lucas Stadium represents the longest away day for fans of 15 of the National League South's 22 clubs for the 2019-20 season.
WHAT IS THE SHORTEST AWAY TRIP IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH?
- The closest match-up in the National League South this season will be between St Albans and Hemel Hempstead, who are just a short six miles apart in the Hertfordshire region.
- Both Weymouth and Havant & Waterlooville will have to travel at least 50 miles per away match as even their closest opponents surpass that mark.
